Overview: Prepare a resume and cover letter for a potential internship, job or volunteer position in a science-related field.
Process:
Step 1: Submit a proposal and include what type position or field to which your C.V. will apply.
Step 2: Research C.V. styles on the web or at the library.
Step 3: Compile your cover letter and resume in a type-written format.
Step 4: Perform research on the Internet (i.e. SignOnSanDiego.com, Employment, Classifieds or Monster.com) and find a suitable job description for which to submit your job application.
Step 5: Receive approval for C.V. submission to a company (follow-through with proofing suggestions).
Step 6: Submit your C.V. to an employer and show evidence of submission for an extra $500 fee.
Deliverables: Cover page, Approved Proposal, Cover letter no more than 1 page in length AND a resume no longer than one page; final draft on resume paper for an extra $300 fee. References page giving a correct APA bibliographic citation.
Fee: $1,200 - $2,000 (with extras) [Consultant-Based Learning: Dollars Equate to Class Points/Credit]
